Job Details:

My customer wanted a TV unit shelf to fit perfect underneath their exisiting 65" TV. It needed to be exactly the right width  and height to fit in the available space. 

It needed to accomodate their XBox console and have the possibility of adding LED strip lights at a later date.

The customer had some old pine roof beams and wanted if possible to use these for the shelf.

The beams were old, rough and dirty. Plus they were cupped and slightly twisted. I planed and squared the wood to make it useable. I also added some oak pieces to the ends as detail items.

I added hidden channelling to the rear of the shelf to accomodate wiring for the Xbox and potential future additions of LED strip lights.

The unit was finished with clear Fiddes paste wax for a natural look.
