The customer had their bedroom wall re-rendered and plastered. They needed new window sills installing in the 2 bedroom window openings.
They chose to use moisture resistant MDF window sills which were pre-primed ready for painting.
The window reveals were not very square, and in fact they were curved, so the window sills needed to be carefully measured and scribed to fit exactly into the space to leave a minimal gap between the sill itself and the window sides.
The sills were measured, cut and scribed to achieve a near perfect fit. The cut ends were planed and sanded in order to match the front edge profile of the window sills.
They were then levelled and afixed in place using expanding foam, and finally finishing caulking was applied around the sills where they meet the window reveals ad the window itself to achive a neat, clean finish ready for final painting.
